Why this exists
Most AI instruction is written by people who have never had to explain anything to anyone. It opens with a definition, moves to a diagram, and loses the room in four minutes. The people in that room are not slow — they are being taught badly by someone who was never taught to teach.
This session runs the other way around. It starts with something you actually want to do, does it in front of you, and only then explains what happened. You leave having used the thing, not having heard about it.
The second half is the one nobody else runs. AI has made a specific kind of fraud very cheap and very convincing, and people over 65 are the stated target. Knowing how the trick works is most of the defence.

What actually happens, in order
No history of computing, no diagram of a neural network. What the thing does, what it cannot do, and why it sometimes states a wrong answer with total confidence.
Writing a difficult letter. Making sense of a dense document — a policy, a contract, a medical summary. Answering the question you would be embarrassed to ask a person twice.
On your own device, with something you actually need done. This is the part people remember, and the reason the room is capped at a room rather than an auditorium.
The grandchild voice-clone call. The frozen-account message. The fake support line. Each one shown and taken apart, because the mechanics are what make it obvious the next time.
Three steps that defeat nearly all of it, including the family code word — the single most effective and least used defence against a voice clone.
The room usually runs over. That is fine.
The part that matters most
A few seconds of audio is now enough to clone a voice convincingly. The call comes at a bad hour, the voice is upset, and it asks you not to tell anyone. We show you what it sounds like, and the one question that ends it.
Fraudulent messages used to give themselves away with clumsy writing. That tell is gone. What replaced it is a different set of signals, and they are learnable in about ten minutes.
Which details are harmless, which ones open a door, and why the request to move fast is itself the warning. Practical, not paranoid — the goal is to use these tools confidently, not to fear them.

Some groups do, and there is a private room for it. Most people take the two hours and are done, which is a perfectly good outcome.
