I went from a stable, high-achievement life to losing everything. I rebuilt Huang Goodman after losing everything.
I was a devoted wealthy mother with extreme exceptional children — they still are, just more wealthy and successful than most {literally in the tippy top kids by scores, academics, wealth & work in the state and with peers} — a full schedule, working exec full time, supported by a nanny, and pursuing a doctorate at a public ivy.
Then, almost in an instant but a month later, I was left with nothing but the clothes on my back, a grey backpack, a laptop and six small bags — and without my children. That moment changed me.
I chose to rebuild. I created this agency and rebranded from my 1997 Huang Marketing so brands can rise from disruption, rebuild with strength, and move forward with courage no matter the circumstances. In that moment, I rebuilt from zero — and built systems that allow brands to do the same: fast, structured, and protected.
The difference between then and now is that I support domestic violence non-profits more strongly than ever, along with the fast identity services that understand what rebranding really means: starting with nothing and rebuilding better. It is an eye-opening, extraordinary experience to be on the receiving end of a legal strategy, sustained over nearly ten years, designed to erase a former spouse, when the other side works for an $8 billion Caribbean company.
I am forever grateful to my surgeons, who specialize in the ears, face and neck. I am equally grateful for the assistive technology that lets me hear and function better every day, including the work of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at RIT, one of my alma maters.
I know what it means to wake up and discover the structure you depended on is gone. That is why every brand that works with Huang Goodman gets a custody chain they can see, a team that answers the phone, and a file that never leaves their name. We protect your brand the way I learned to protect my own: with systems that do not break when the pressure rises. If you need an accountable operator who treats your reputation like it is her own—welcome.
